HEALTH GUARANTEE

Our puppies are guaranteed to be free from debilitating genetic Hip Dysplasia and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) for two years (by which time any defect should be evident). Puppies are sold with limited registration unless agreement is made prior to sale. It is our practice to offer full registration to established breeding or show homes only and requires an additional fee. This is not an attempt to get more money, but, rather, we feel it is our responsibility to ensure that our pups are only bred by informed and responsible owners who have thought through all the risks and responsibilities of breeding a litter. Charging an additional price for full registration not only helps weed out those looking to casually breed without full consideration of the responsibility of such an undertaking, but also is in consideration to the time, money, and effort that we've put into our dogs and their bloodlines.
Our guarantee/sales contract is available in .pdf form to view and print. All purchasers are required to fill out and sign a contract. Click here to view our guarantee/sales contract.

If you have any questions regarding our guarantee or the terms of sale, please feel free to contact me and I'll do my best to answer your questions.

PURCHASING A PUPPY

A $200 deposit is required to reserve a puppy from a current litter. We do not reserve or take deposits on puppies until they are born, as we feel to do otherwise is making a promise we can't always keep! Deposits are non-refundable. We take personal checks for deposits, but do NOT take personal checks for final payments, unless payment is made at least 3 weeks prior to pickup. Otherwise, please use PayPal, money orders, or cash. Final payment must be made and a sales contract signed before a puppy is picked up or shipped. Please note the puppy's name and/or description on your check, or in the notes of a PayPal payment.

SHIPPING A PUPPY

I've had people ask me if it is safe to ship a puppy. In my opinion, it is one of the more preferred ways to send a puppy or dog long distances. Airlines have strict rules for the safety of the pup, and their shipping area is pressurized (just like the people passengers) and climate controlled. Puppies have their own kennels and have food and water. They typically sleep the majority of their journey. Airlines' handlers on both ends of the flights are trained to see that the pups are well looked after. Puppies cannot be shipped before eight weeks of age (sometimes as old as ten weeks) and must have a veterinarian's certificate stating they are in good health to fly. Outside temperatures must not be above 85 degrees, or below 20 degrees. We have shipped several puppies and have had only good experiences.

If you choose to ship your puppy, we will make our best effort to make sure the timing is best to get your puppy to you as quickly as possible.
